Topic: Optimize the client performance moar!

So far the game was running fine for me, FPS-wise.

BUT today when 30-40 people gathered my FPS was 20-30, while it's ~100 at lower populated places (still low for my computer specs on such a game)

There's barely any load on GPU/CPU, so I assume that the game engine is poorly optimized.
High-end graphics games run better at max settings than Perpetuum for me. tongue

So is it only me or is everyone experiencing this?

My specs are:
i7 920 @ 4.2
EVGA GTX480 HC @ 900/1800/2250
6GB RAM

Re: Optimize the client performance moar!

Definitely going to have to agree here.

I get great FPS most the time in this game - but today, during the terraforming showcase the Devs had going on, there were a ton of people around and fighting.

This resulted in FPS drop down to 15-20 (when it's normally 60+ easily with action going on) while my CPU, ram and GPU usage were at 64%, 55%, and 68% respectively.

It's clearly not using it to the best it can, but this is only amplified when there are like 20+ people in 1 area. (Which will suck, once larger PvP starts up)

Re: Optimize the client performance moar!

The main reason the FPS sucks is due to the buildings. I've been in large fights before on PvP islands (no buildings) and I've been fine. Go to PvE where there are buildings and all goes to ***. We need an option to remove them visually from the client.

Or at least make them look more like this.
