Topic: Non-EU MMO companies have no balls?

Has anyone noticed this? Most of the indie-MMO companies which are creating non-mainstream MMOs are based in EU.

Includes:
Aventurine - Darkfall Online
[CCP - EVE Online
Avatar Creations - Perpetuum
Starvault - Mortal Online (even though it's pure bullcrap)
WAI - Dawntide

Just gunna put this out there - less competition.

Re: Non-EU MMO companies have no balls?

A lot of the American software companies for MMOs are going big or going home (see: APB, STO).  They get a lot of investors and roll the dice at launch.

Re: Non-EU MMO companies have no balls?

APB was developed by a firm in Dundee, scotland (I think its in scottland) so it was EU as well. (I played it, brilliant concept, terrible delivery.)

Re: Non-EU MMO companies have no balls?

Asians are too hooked on trying to make things cute and due to economics and culture of the region the western mmo model is not a sound option for them. I grew up on Nintendo, so its hard for me to admit that they are useless.

Americans just want to make a quick buck. Not interested in making good games as far as I can tell.
