Topic: Basic core extensions for all bot pilots.

I give this list out for ppl who play eve, when at a cross road as to what skill to train.  Thank goodness there is no learning skills in this game smile

After reading these through a new player can understand the correlation between extensions and the effectiveness of your bot.  I follow the philosophy of training your support/weapon extension vs. training for a new bot.  Buying support extensions pay off in the long run and strengthen your effectiveness in both your current bots as well as future bots.

CORE EXTENSIONS

Reactor skills:

  • Engineering
Reactor expansion - increases the amount of Reactor your bot can use
Economical Armor usage - Lowers the reactor use of your armor mods
Economical Shield usage - Lowers the reactor use of shield generator
Economical Weapon usage - Lowers reactor use of weapons

CPU skills:

  • Electronics
Data Processing - increases the amount of CPU your bot can use
Optimized Weapon usage - lowers the cpu of weapons
Optimized Electronics - lowers the cpu of EWAR Mods
Indirect reactor expansion - lowers cpu of reactor mods

Accumulator skills:

  • Engineering
Accumulator expansion - increases the volume of your accumulator
Energy management -  increases the recharge rate of your capacitor

  • Robot Control
Special ops robot control - increases the volume of your accumulator

Targeting skills:

  • Electronics
Targeting - increases the amount of targets your bot can target
Long range targeting - increases the range your bot may target
Accelerated target locking - increases the time it takes to lock (my pet peeve)

Speed:

  • Robot Control
Navigation - increase the speed of your bot  (I suggests getting this to 10)

Hit Points/Armor:

  • Engineering
Mechanic - increase your armor amount
Complex Mechanics - further increases your armor amount

Enjoy!

Re: Basic core extensions for all bot pilots.

You should include the section they are located in, like Engineering/Weapon Usage/Robot Control, etc etc.

Also I suggest using the list feature.

  • I'm pretty sure

  • it works.

Re: Basic core extensions for all bot pilots.

I would add to your list

  • Electronics
Data Processing. - This one is meant for Both Combat and Industry

  • Engineering
Reactor Expansion. - This is meant more for Industry

Fixed up.... for reading pleasure

Re: Basic core extensions for all bot pilots.

Accumulator Expansion
Energy Management

is also kinda good to have

Re: Basic core extensions for all bot pilots.

-Indirect reactor expansion - lowers cpu of reactor mods

... lowers cpu costs for all energy transfer modules (Neut, Drain and transfer) and for accu-recharger too.
(description will change soon wink

- Accumulator skills:
Special ops robot control gives another 2% more accu per rank wink

I'm pretty sure that is supposed to read 'Decreases' instead of increases.

I've played everything at least once. Guess it's Perpetuum's turn.
