Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

I have my doubts that the agents m2s can draw so beautiful pictures. But I really envy your team spirit, allowing you almost simultaneously send submissions! Maybe you're a great team! I am very glad that you play fair in this competition!

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Is it wrong that we talk about it in TS, and those that actually cared to draw anything then decided to submit their drawings?

Sorry, I didnt realize communication wasnt allowed here.

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Mine is rather old, made back towards the beginning of perpetuum. I don't need the extra account, but I have a broke friend that needs one, so I figured what the hell. I would have just given it to him to enter if I hadn't already signed it.

Edit: I see your implications that we are cheating, sorry to say, we aren't. (Well at least not me anyway.) tongue

I am poor student from eastern europe! I can't pay for early access now! I really want to play! But if noble m2s deserves to all prizes.. so be it...:(

Given the fact that both jpegs contain Photoshop CS5 metadata (which was released April 2010), have been saved with mere 11 minutes of difference, plus the strikingly similar style of both pictures that resembles other works from Siddy... well, makes the whole thing rather suspicious...

how many works from siddy you know?

Also, is it impossible that Siddy did do some finishing touches on blackomens piece?
I mean, Blackomen has open canvas, but since it has bad value correction tools, might it be impossible that the piece did see some... sh00p, as you might say it?

So yeah, before start pointing fingers, openly on formus, as a DEV. Do your homework. You know my and blacks contacts, so no excuses here

Good god man, I can see why your suspicious, but your calling me a downright cheat. In fact siddy did do the final touches on mine, as he's a far better artist than me. He added the finer details and shadows I can't do. It's also the reason both came from CS5 and were added at the same time. I wasn't aware colabs were against the rules. Seeing as they arn't in the rules.

I didn't call anyone anything, and since I'm not the organizer of this contest I won't involve myself any deeper. I merely stated my observations, it's up to the host to make his decisions.

Do that next time without the authority/responsibility that  DEV tag in front your name brings you, please.
Your observations were worded in  a manner that one could understand as quite direct accusation. Only thing you did not state is of what "foul play" did you accuse us, but the implication were there.

I expect apology for your poorly worded "observation".

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

I think this can only be settled by a duel. Both parties honour has been offended, and only blood will quell the matter. What say you?

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

3 submissions so far, here's the 4th. I haven't coloured it since I don't have time, maybe I will if there are some other good submissions.

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

A Perpetuum dev making comments about strikingly similar works... if that isn't ironic i don't know what is.

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Styx is a furry, HAHA.

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

I suppose that even cruel pirate corporation must have respect to the developers team. I see you dont.

Oh we do, many of the devs are great guys. What Zoom wrote was downright offensive. You'd be offended too if one said the same thing about your artwork.

Wait... why am I even responding to a troll alt. roll

Edit: I knew it styx! I freaking knew you were into furry! lol

I assure you, the copyright of anything posted in this thread by m2s, is in m2s hands.

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Okay, short story entry:

Derrykk joined the corps comm channel as he started another day of work.

“So, anyone seen the new guy today?” he asked.

He was met with a chorus of “Which one?”

“The new transfer from the Navy. Y'know, the one that HQ said was a 'grand experiment in using pilots as Agents, since the skills were so similar?”

There were a few moments of silence in the channel.

“He...ummmm...he left,” said Markuss.

Left!?!” exclaimed Derrykk. “What do you mean 'left'?”

“Well, you know how he joined the channel yesterday and immediately started explaining how it was exactly the same thing as piloting a ship, and he'd be running the place inside of a week?”

“Yeah,” grumbled Derrykk. “Made a lot of friends with that one. How'd he do?”

“Well,” replied Markuss, “we sent him out to harvest some Helio. After we made him understand what we meant, he griped for almost thirty minutes about, and I quote, 'picking flowers' before he deployed.”

Derrykk chuckled. “Poor baby. Were the flowers too tough for Mr. Space Pilot?”

“Not exactly,” said Markuss, “but the drone he aggro'd apparently was. He lost his 'bot.”

“To a DRONE!?! Just one?”

“Yeah; he said 'Why can't I hit this thing?' over and over, until we explained that he couldn't attack with a harvester. He decided he'd had enough, and said he was heading back.”

“Okay, so far no surprise. So the drone took him out?”

“Not exactly,” sighed Markuss. “He...ummm...he got lost.”

“...pilot-boy couldn't read the damn map?”

“I don't really know; he grumbled for a while about things being laid out so poorly, made some comment about “auto-warp” and said he was going back to the Navy where, again I quote, “it wasn't so damn stupid” and then disengaged from his interface. The wreckage of his 'bot is still out there.”

“Whattya know,” said Derrykk, “I guess Steve just can't hack it.”

If your going to call me out on this, then fork up the evidence. This artwork has never been posted anywhere on the net before. If you can't then kindly shut the *** up. smile

Re: Jump Start Perpetuum Community Contest - WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Hey everybody. Sorry for lack of posting but I was on vacation for a week with a very limited access to Internet. To be honest I almost gave up on this contest since there was no submissions for almost a week. I am so glad that some of you decided to spend time and create short stories and pictures. Kudos to all of you. I would also like to remind you that I accept submissions until midnight Monday so there is still time to submit your work.
