Topic: Perpetuum's Rule of 3

This is mostly just a random BS post that I thought about while I was taking a sh*t recently, so dont take it to seriously or with any sort of merrit.

I was just thinking about how most everything in game is in a group of 3.  It just made me wonder about the things that weren't already in groups of 3, and if we can infer anything about further developments in the game because of it.  I'll just list the 3's I can think of:

Factions: Pelistal, Thelodica, Nuimqol  (industrial/arkhe excluded.  Human tech)
Primary Weapons: Missile, Laser, EM Gun (firearms excluded. Human tech)
Primary Damage Types: Seismic, Thermal, Kinetic
Primary E-War: Drain/Neut, Suppression, ECM  (demob has bonuses in multiple factions. OK, so theres 4 sometimes. Bite me.)
Defenses: Armor Repair, Shield, Resistance
Islands: 3 alpha, 3 beta belonging to the factions.
Classes: Robot (small), Mech (medium), Destroyer (large)
Sub-classes: Standard, E-War, Assault (heavy mech)
Attributes/Focuses: Military, Industry, Economy
Raw Material Types: Organic, Liquid, Ore
Solid Minerals: Titan Ore, Stermonit, Immentium
Liquid Ore: HDT, Epriton, Liquizit

And the list goes on, and on, and on, and on...... (I actually logged in and looked through the market and decided to stop at this point)

So, from this, can we make any assumptions at what we might see in the future from the things that aren't already in sets of 3?  I dont have a huge list as of yet, but this is what I have so far:

Classes: We already know Destroyers are coming to fill in the third for this one, as well as large/heavy weapons, which theres obviously space for if you look at the module slots with the ● for small and ●● for medium with 1/3 of the space on top left for ●●● large.

Plants: Helioptris, Triandlus.  Maybe a third that is only found on beta islands like Epriton? Could easily mean more complex materials needed for heavy equipment and destroyers, or just more variety in general if they change material needs for items.

I feel like I'm drawing a blank with some more things but hopefully we can add to this, and maybe even try to figure out what these missing things could be.

So by your logic...

Girls, boys... Girlboys?

Re: Perpetuum's Rule of 3

Thats where the robots come into play.  Duh.

Re: Perpetuum's Rule of 3

Um, siesmic, thermal, kinetic, and chemical...

Just saying

Re: Perpetuum's Rule of 3

Chemical is a secondary damage type.  No ammo does the most damage in chemical.  Similar to how theres no mech past arkhe with a bonus to firearms.

I put "primary" there for a reason.

Just sayin'.

Re: Perpetuum's Rule of 3

Ok, I screwed my own thread by starting to post crap like that, but can anyone think of anything else that seems like its missing its third part?  Maybe we can guess what the devs are up to just like I guessed that they'd change missile explosion sizes based on my observations with extensions big_smile
